Summary Police crackdown to arrest key leaders and active workers continue
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore police arrested another key PTI leader during ongoing crackdown on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
A Crimes Investigation Agency (CIA) police Iqbal Town team took Mian Rasheed into custody from a locality in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
The PTI leader remained the provincial minister in the tenure of Sardar Usman Bozdar as the Punjab chief minister. Major key leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Chaudhy Fawad Hussian, Omer Sarfraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Musarrat Cheema and others.
In another action, another police team also detained Faisal Mehar, the secretary of PTI leader Hammad Azhar, from his Sabzazar residence at the crack of dawn.
Meanwhile, the Punjab police have so far taken 3,185 people on the charges of ransacking public and private properties and arsons and injuring 150 police officers and officials.
